Focus Volleyball club Grass Season starting
June 17th, see below to register

Focus volleyball is once again running our summer grass volleyball program at Mundy Park Field 3.   If you have played some volleyball and want to join than this is for you.   You must have some volleyball experience to join, this is not for new players to volleyball.   We ca always arrange a tryout if needed.

We are running 4 nights a week, weather permitting, Monday to Thursday from 6-8 PM nightly.   The cost is $ 125.00 plus a small admin fee for credit card payments.  Reminder if you played for a Focus Club team this past season you do not have to pay nor register for grass, it is included.

New players have either have had to played club already this past season, or if not, purchase a Volleyball BC Recreational player membership by clicking the link below.

Please note we will try to call rain outs by 4 pm daily at latest.  The program will start June 17th and run until 9 weeks.  Rainouts will not be made up, but you are welcome to come to as many sessions as you like.

Note there will be music and play is typically organized by the players.  It is mixed co-ed and a lot of fun.  Our players are seeing a lot of success in their fall school tryouts and say it is somewhat due to the grass season.

Last season we averaged 50-60 players per night.  Players are asked to help with set up and take down nightly.  Any questions feel free to email us at sashley@shaw.ca for more information.

FOCUS IS LOOKING FOR COACHES.  We provide certification fee coverage and an honorarium.  We are always looking for coaches for: 13u to 18u boys and girls teams. Please contact our director at: focusvolleyball2017@gmail.com if you are interested in coaching.

Did you know here at Focus the summer grass season($150-$200 value) is included in your fee. It also includes things like Tournament fees for at least three to four regular season events, up to including provincials, coaching certification fees, coach's honorarium & the year end celebration event.

For comparison purposes please note, clubs add some of the fees later, after the initial team fee, similar to us as we do with teams choosing to go to Nationals, those costs are to be covered by the team going.

We operate more boys' teams than most other clubs.  We feel having multiple teams, at more levels ensures more athletes are playing and our senior teams have a strong base build from.

INDOOR CLUB SEASON NOTES:
Our club is based out of the Burnaby-Tri-Cities area, but we accept athletes from anywhere in the Greater Vancouver Area. Where we have more than one team at an age level we divide the teams by skill level (i.e. A and B teams).

The indoor club season generally runs from early December to the end of May. (We start practicing in January).

Teams generally have 2 practices a week and attend 4 or more tournaments/events during the season.  These tournaments take place on the weekend.

Coaches have demonstrated passion for the game of volleyball and working with young athletes.  All of our coaches are expected to be certified through the National Coaches Certification Program.
